An exploration of women’s experiences at the Centre for Alternative Technology, drawing on oral history interviews, working with water as material metaphor for energy, feminine power and fluidity. In the Machynlleth performance on International Women’s Day event, water was poured between containers whilst performers fragments of interviews using ‘recorded delivery’ technique; in Swansea, an animated interview about the oral history project was performed, disrupted by the spilling and mopping up of water; and in Aberystwyth, a group of women were interviewed about their experiences of working at CAT in front of a live audience, accompanied by an exhibition of significant artefacts.
